New owners, Mark and Angie Frederick's, have continued the 5 star resort tradition the Russell's left them. I recommend Woodland Resort for all who need time away from the everyday grind, for a week of pleasure and relaxation. Whether you're into fishing or other water activities, Woodland on lake Miltona offers it all. Golfing is a hop, skip and a jump from the resort. Explore Alexandria and surrounding area for local refreshments, food and entertainment. Check out the Kensington runestone and "Big Ole"! End your day by relaxing on the Woodland beach, watching the always beautiful sunsets over the lake. You can't go wrong vacationing at Woodland Resort.
The sunsets . Cabins are a perfect size and extremely clean. Not too far of a drive to Alexandria for delicious restaurants, shopping. winery, etc. Will hopefully be back.
Cabin was clean and comfortable. Fishing was good. The kids loved swimming in lake! Mark and Angie were great host. We will be back!!
Our family has been coming to Woodland Resort for many many years. The thing that makes the decision to return each year so easy is the consistent level of customer service. The owners go out of their way to provide the best accommodations for us. If you are looking for a family oriented lake resort to vacation at, look no further than Woodland. There is something there for everyone.
Clean, well-maintained, roomy cabins with gorgeous views of the lake. Lots of shared quality amenities included in the rates like kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, and fire wood. The owners are wonderful and the office is a cute place to grab a free cup of coffee and greet the resident pups. I love how quiet and private the resort is with plenty for the kids to do and burn off energy.
